The Acer Aspire V5-571-6490 is a slim and very capable laptop computer with a 15.6” screen. The operating system is Windows 8, and the battery life is 5 hours.








Pros

  • 15.6” HD Widescreen CineCrystal LED backlit display with 1366 x 768 resolution
  • Third generation Intel Core i5-3337U, a dual core ULV (ultra-low voltage) processor based on the Ivy Bridge microarchitecture. It was released in January 2013. The two cores can handle up to four threads in parallel due to Hyperthreading. The base speed is 1.8 GHz, and it can increase to to 2.7 GHz through Turbo Boost.
  • 750 GB hard drive, which is 50% larger than those found on comparable computers
  • 6 GB DDR3 RAM, which is 50% more than is found in typical computers. There is room to increase the RAM to 8 GB.
  • Three USB ports, one of which is USB 3.0, which transfers data ten times faster than USB 2.0
  • Bluetooth 4.0 for wirelessly connecting peripherals
  • DVD Drive

Cons

  • No Blu-ray player
  • 5.07 lb.
  • Keyboard is not backlit
